Piece by Piece is LIVE on Audible!!!

I'm super excited to announce that my new audio book has just been released!! Piece by Piece is out now on Audible, soon on iTunes and all other major audio book retailers.
It's the third, and last, book of my West End series, but it can be listened/read as a stand alone. The brand new narrator - George A Thorn - did a brilliant job bringing my story to life.

Book Description:

Sometimes, to reach the surface you have to fall to the bottom first....
For the past 10 years, Riley Davis' life has been overshadowed by the tragic death of his partner. Fluctuating between alcohol-induced daze, clinical depression, and throwing all of his time and effort into his business, Riley doesn't believe, or even hope, that his life will ever be worth living again.
That's until Sonnie Frye drops by his haberdashery shop, changing his life forever.
Sonnie is a man who likes getting what he wants, when he wants it. He's worked hard to establish himself as Queen Victoria theatre's chief costume designer, collecting multiple awards - and high-profile clients - along the way. Sonnie is used to putting his needs, goals, and desires first, unwilling to compromise his own happiness for anybody else.
That's until he meets a handsome shop owner whose eyes are so sad that they immediately tug at Sonnie's heartstrings.
Seeing something he wants, Sonnie is determined to get under Riley's skin and, preferably, into his bed. But he soon discovers the task is not that easy. For the first time in his life, Sonnie may need to put someone else's needs before his own and re-evaluate what really matters in life.
Will the two men stand side-by-side to overcome their differences and everything else life throws at them? Or, will it all become too much to bear, shaking them to their very core, destroying everything they've worked so hard to achieve?
Piece by Piece is a stand-alone novel. It's the full story of Sonnie and Riley.

What an incredible night!

A few days ago I went to see Fall Out Boy live for the second time in 2 years. Last year I saw them in Birmingham - I couldn't get any tickets in London, unfortunately - but this year I was quick enough to get tickets for their sold out American Beauty/American Psycho tour.
I was excited to see them again, but I thought it wouldn't be much different than last time. Yeah, there would be some new songs but overall, it's the same band, right?
Still. FOB is one of my all time favourite bands, so I couldn't wait to see them again.
How wrong was I to think it'd be nearly the same! They did perform some of the same songs as last time, but it felt massively different. It was as if I'd never seen them before. And I enjoyed every second of it.
FOB's music inspired my first LGBT novel - Dance. I listened to their Save Rock and Roll album on repeat the whole time I was writing it and it's still one of those albums I go back to when I need an emotional pick me up. I was lucky enough to go see them on their Save Rock and Roll tour, but to see them again, and so soon, was incredible. I came home inspired all over again.
Thank you for an amazing show, FOB! Till next time!

October book recs

October is shaping up to be an awesome month of books! So many great titles coming out! So, clear your schedule, pull up the duvet and cosy up with a cup of tea and a wonderful book. I know it's what I'll do!
Out of all new releases there are three that I'm very excited about. I'm giddy just thinking about reading them and can't wait!

Stygian by Santino Hassell

Well, duh! I don't need to explain why I'm excited for this, right? Santino is one of my all time favourite, auto-buy authors, but even more so, I'm super intrigued by this book. And would you look at that cover!!!!

Blurb:

Jeremy has been isolated and adrift since the death of his brother. Most people just see him as the skinny emo kid who wears eyeliner and plays drums. No one gets him. Nobody tries. He thought the indie rock band Stygian would become his anchor, but—lost in their own problems—theyre far from the family he sought.
Still, hoping to get close to Kennedy, the bands enigmatic guitarist, he follows Stygian to northern Louisiana for a summer retreat. They had planned to spend six weeks focusing on new music, but things go awry as soon as they arrive at the long-deserted Caroway mansion. Tempers flare, sexual tension boils over into frustration, and Jeremy turns away from the band to find a friend in his eerily beautiful landlord Hunter Caroway.
Kennedy suspects there’s something off about the creepy mansion and its mysterious owners, but Jeremy thinks he's finally found somewhere he fits. It isn’t until Kennedy forces the Caroways’ secrets into the light that Jeremy realizes belonging sometimes comes with a price.

Darker space by Lisa Henry

I read the first book in the series, Dark Space, recently and loved it! However, it left me feeling a bit confused and I was relieved when I found out there will be a sequel!
In case you haven't read the brilliant Dark Space yet, you can buy it here and get ready for book 2 in time for the release, which is set for 13 October.

Blurb:

Brady Garrett is back on Earth. He’s living with his partner Cam and they’re raising his sister Lucy together. Life is better than some feral reffo from Kopa has any right to hope, and Brady knows it. He’s even grateful for it, most of the time. He loves Cam, even though he’s afraid that he’s not good enough for him, but he’s still having nightmares about the alien Faceless.

Cameron Rushton loved being a pilot once, and he still feels the pull of the starlight. He’s building a life with Brady now, and with Lucy. Life is good, even if it’s not without its complications. Both Brady and Cam are dealing with the endless cycle of interviews, tests, and questions that the military hierarchy hopes will reveal the secrets of the aliens who could very easily destroy humanity. They have each other though, and together they’re making it work.

But from out in the black, Kai-Ren is still watching and everything Brady and Cam think they’ve won, they stand to lose all over again.
