"Life's a journey, not a destination..."

I believe everyone has a song that it's not only their favourite, but they wish they'd written it. No? Is it just me then?
Anyway, I heard this song a while ago (back in the '90s to be precise) and instantly fell in love with it. I can't say that it's my favourite song - I don't think I have a favourite song, too many to choose from - but it's definitely the one I wish I've written.
So here it is. Enjoy and sing it in the shower this weekend :))))

Amazing
Aerosmith

I kept the right ones out

And let the wrong ones in
Had an angel of mercy
To see me through all my sin
There were times in my life
When I was goin insane
Tryin' to walk through the pain
When I lost my grip
And I hit the floor
I thought I could leave
But I couldn't get out the door
I was so sick and tired
Of livin' a lie
I was wishin' that I would die
Its amazing
With the blink of an eye
I finally saw the light
Its amazing
That when the moment arrives
You know you'll be alright
Its amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer
For the desperate hearts tonight
That one last shots a permanent vacation
And how high can you fly with broken wings
Lifes a journey not a destination
And I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings
You have to learn to crawl
Before you learn to walk
But I just couldn't listen
To all that rightous talk
I was out on the street
Tryin'a survive
Scratchen to stay alive
Its amazing
With the blink of an eye
I finally saw the light
Its amazing
That when the moment arrives
You know you'll be alright
Its amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer
For the desperate hearts tonight

Interview & a chance to win a free copy of Humanless

Check out my interview with the lovely Laurie at Laurie's Thoughts and Reviews! Leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of Humanless.
That's how it goes...

Tell us about your current release.

It’s the first book of a new paranormal YA series called Humanless, aimed at older readers. It’s set in London, for the most part, and it’s inspired by Greek mythology. But it’s not your usual myths and tales. I’ve changed and mixed them up so much, you won’t even recognize them.

What do you think makes a good story?

A good story makes you feel. It doesn’t matter if it makes you laugh, cry or shout, or if you want to throw the book against the wall. If it extracts a strong reaction – it’s a good story.

What does your significant other and family think of your writing career? Do they read your stuff?

The only person that reads my stuff is my sister who’s constantly nagging me to sit down and write because I have a huge tendency to procrastinate. My husband has never read anything I’ve written for some inexplicable reason. I might have to actually tie him up to a chair and make him read the book and threaten him that it’s either that or the whole 5 seasons of The vampire diaries.
